When the deciduous trees are ablaze with colour, the Tyrolean holiday region of Serfaus-Fiss-Ladis invites you to enjoy Autumn 2025 with a focus on potatoes. But it's not just nature that is celebrating the golden season: from 1 September to 19 October, locals and guests alike will be beaming with joy at numerous events.
The mountain forests are dressed in their most colourful finery, the light is golden and a gentle silence reigns over everything – that means autumn is here. Thanks to the clear air, endless views and less hustle and bustle, this season is also the most beautiful for many holidaymakers. So let's go hiking or biking in Serfaus-Fiss-Ladis! With emphasis on ‘enjoyable’. What could be better than hiking up a mountain on a mild autumn day or cycling with the fresh air blowing around your nose? How wonderful that the three mountain villages of Serfaus, Fiss and Ladis offer something for every guest, from gentle pleasure routes to more challenging summit tours. Of course, this also applies to families with children and prams. In addition to all the action, guests and locals can also look forward to a wide range of culinary, musical and cultural events this autumn. Autumn couldn't be more golden than here in the upper Tyrolean Inn Valley! These are the highlights of the autumn of enjoyment around Serfaus, Fiss and Ladis in chronological order:
All autumn long: Everything about the potato
In September and October, everything in the mountain villages of Serfaus, Fiss, and Ladis revolves around one thing: the potato. It’s a symbol of tradition, home, and culinary diversity. Known as the "gold of the field," the potato was once a staple food – and still plays a key role in many traditional Tyrolean autumn dishes like Gröstl, potato soup, or Erdäpfelgulasch. No surprise, then, that the Culinary Autumn 2025 in Serfaus-Fiss-Ladis is dedicated to this versatile natural product.
13th Tractor and Classic Car Meeting
If you're into vintage tractors, classic cars, and motorcycles, be sure to mark the weekend of 12 to 14 September in red on your calendar! That's when the 13th Tractor and Classic Car Meeting takes place – with participants from Austria, Germany, Switzerland, Italy, the Netherlands, and Belgium.
This is nostalgia brought to life!

"Kunst am Berg"
From 6 to 28 September, culture lovers can find inspiration. Not just anywhere, but high up on the Fisser Schönjoch at 2,436 metres above sea level. At the unique event called Kunst am Berg (Art on the Mountain), artists create their works live in front of an audience – and these can also be purchased at a closing event on 28 September. And from 13 September to 12 October, there will be an exhibition of amateur artists around the BergDiamant panorama restaurant that is well worth a visit.
Almabtrieb Serfaus
During the Almabtrieb, the decorated cows return from the alpine pastures to the valley. Music, festivities, and traditional customs make this colorful event an unforgettable experience of Alpine culture.
On Sunday, September 14th, 2025, the Almabtrieb will take place at the Music Pavilion.
The festivities start at 11am, and the cows are expected to arrive at 1.15pm .

Almabtrieb Fiss
The Almabtrieb is a traditional festival in the Alps, where decorated cattle return from the mountain pastures to the valley at the end of summer. This colorful spectacle, accompanied by music and celebrations, attracts many visitors each year and offers a vivid glimpse into Alpine culture and tradition.
Farmers' market at the museum
Culture meets art and cuisine at the farmers' market at ‘s'Paules & Seppls Haus’, the oldest farm in Fiss, on 2 October. Visitors can look forward to craftsmanship, farm products and lively music.
